Fromage of the Day, 10.19.11: Sechon du Pays

Fromage of the Day, 10.19.11:  Sechon du Pays.  Tangy and intense, these miniature discs of cow’s milk cheeses are made in the Rhone Alps.  They compare to goat’s milk cheeses like Crottin de Chavignol more than any cow’s milk cheese I’ve had.  Sechon du Pays pairs nicely with your favorite Garnacha, a Hoften Dormaal Blonde, or a sweet cider.  If it was a contemporary jazz group, it would be Mostly Other People do the Killing, loud and proud of it.  These are The Joy of Cheese October Events; a featured event is a cheese and wine pairing session at Premier Cru, October 19.  We also do private cheese events as well.  Contact me at thejoyofcheese@gmail.com for more information.
